What is the objective of Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO)?

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is a team-based first-person shooter game where players can play as either terrorists or counter-terrorists. The main objective of the game is to win rounds by completing objectives or eliminating the enemy team.
The specific objective of each round depends on the game mode being played. In the most popular game mode, Bomb Defusal, the terrorists must plant a bomb at one of two designated sites and protect it until it explodes, while the counter-terrorists must prevent the bomb from being planted or defuse it if it has already been planted.
In Hostage Rescue mode, the terrorists must hold hostages and prevent them from being rescued, while the counter-terrorists must rescue the hostages or eliminate the enemy team.
In addition to completing the primary objective, players can also win a round by eliminating all members of the opposing team. Winning rounds earns money, which can be used to purchase weapons and equipment to help players in future rounds.
The ultimate goal of CS:GO is to win the game by winning the majority of the rounds in a match. Matches typically consist of a best-of-30 format, meaning the first team to win 16 rounds wins the match.
